Frequently Asked Questions

When should I arrive?

You should arrive 15 minutes before the time stated on your booking confirmation to allow time for your health and safety briefing, followed by the game story. If you arrive any time after your booking (game start time), we reserve the right to refuse play. Anything more than 30 minutes late and your booking will be classed as a 'no show' and no refund will be given.

Where can I park?

We have on-site parking at Escape Le Fontenioux for you to use.

What is your refund policy?

Please be aware that booking a game is like booking a theatre ticket. Once that time slot has been allocated to you it is unavailable for any other booking, therefore no refunds are given under any circumstances.

Can I add extra people once I have booked?

Yes it is possible to add extra people after you have made a booking. Contact Escape Le Fontenioux on escapelefontenioux@gmail.com and a member of the team can then amend the booking. A charge of €25 is made for every additional player added to a booking. Please note it is the responsibility of the person responsible for booking, not Escape Le Fontenioux, to ensure that your party does not go over the maximum person limit for the game, which is 6 players.

What if I can't find the answer to my question?

If you cannot find the answer to your question, please contact us by completing the contact form on the website, or by emailing us at escapelefontenioux@gmail.com and a member of the team will strive to answer your query as soon as possible.

What should I wear?

There is no official dress code, so feel free to wear what you like. We would however recommend wearing something comfortable, and long trousers are recommended as some parts of the game are low down. There is no heating in the game so if you are playing in colder weather we recommend wearing something warm.

Is Escape Le Fontenioux suitable for people with disabilities?

We have tried our very best to make the game accessible to everyone but we advise that there are some tight and dark areas of the game. We would recommend that anyone with a disablity has an able bodied player in their team. If you have a disability please contact us on escapelefontenioux@gmail.com to allow us to ensure a good experience for you, by better preparing the game for your visit.

I get claustrophobic, are the games scary?

The entrance door to the game is kept unlocked at all times and you are free to leave the game whenever you like, but please be aware that if you do the clock will continue to count down. There are some large, papier maché spiders in the game so it may not be suitable for anyone with a serious phobia.

What is the difficulty rating of the room?

Our room is designed to be fun and challenging for everyone and therefore does not have a set difficulty level. On booking you will select your difficulty level and we will tailor the game to suit your ability. During your game, a Games Master will be in contact to help guide you through should your team become stuck at any point in the game!

Who can play at Escape Le Fontenioux?

Anyone can play – but this game lends itself to a group with good communication skills. This game is not suitable for young children due to the nature and complexity of the game. We recommend that the game is suitable for persons over the age of 12 and anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a full paying adult.
